The Button Project a 9/11 Memorial
Seventeen years ago I designed and created “The Button project: a 9/11 Memorial.” It was through the making of this piece piece that I came to know what it means to be a community artist.Last winter the National September 11th Memorial and Museum asked to borrow the piece from the the City of Portsmouth.The piece is now installed in a special exhibit with three other pieces inspired by the events of 9/11.
