This piece uses invented language and personal symbols to reflect on my life. At the time I was designing and creating the piece, I was dreaming about moving to live near the ocean.

Some of the symbols, language and imagery were a part of a conscious effort, while others blossomed out of my subconscious mind. Thus the title “What was I thinking?” sprang from the moment when I stepped back from the completed piece.
