This piece won second prize in the NH Art Association fall juried exhibit. The juror ( Devon Zimmermann, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art) said "This atmospheric quality that the artist creates through their weaving is really stunning. The way that they use color and the woven passages of thread is really beautiful, compositionally so. It allows for a beautiful play of scale, from the threaded below to the celestial forms above."

The Invitation - details

Within the repetitive methods inherent to textiles, I find a quiet space of engagement -  a place to illustrate universal stories of love, loss and longing, the heartache of the ephemeral, the tender beauty of the natural world and the astonishing gift of being human.
