January - May 2008 NH Art Institute, Manchester, NH "The Professional Artist"
I am looking forward to continuing to teach at this dynamic and growing art school.
April 11 - May 30, 2008 Central Gallery, Old Saybrook, CT "Sheltered" a group show of mixed media works on the theme of shelter.
April 28 - May 2, 2008 Regional Arts and Healing Convening and Training at Crotched Mountain in Greenfield, NH. I will be a lead artist presenting a series of workshops.
May 2008 Muraco School, Winchester, MA I will be working with this school to help create a tapestry for the school's entryway as a retirement gift from the school community to the principal Mrs. Tashjian. The theme of the tapestry will be "Common Threads: Our Community" and it will consist of three large panels.
May 2008 Havenwood Heritage Heights, Concord, NH I will be artist in residence at this continuing care retirement community. Working with staff and residents we will create a large Community Mandala Weaving that will be a visual representation of this community.
May - June 2008 Frisbie memorial Hospital, Rochester, NH I will be a visiting artist in residence here working with staff, patients and community members to create a Mandala Community Weaving.
May - June 2008 York Public Library, York ME "Encore" an invitational exhibit for artists who have previously exhibited at the York Public Library.
May 8-9, 2008 Massachusetts Cultural Council, Boston, MA I will be a panelist to review grants for arts/educational programs in MA.
June 8, 2008 Concord Hospital, Concord, NH "Cancer Survivors Day" - I will be guiding the creation of a Mandala Community Weaving for this special event.
June 10-24, 2008 Bermuda Ben and I will be sailing to Bermuda with our dear friends aboard their boat "Skater". I am really looking forward to this adventure!
July 27 - August 24, 2008 Wentworth Coolidge Gallery, Portsmouth, NH "Shoals and Shorelines" I am delighted to be included in this group exhibit. I will be exhibiting a new series of screen art works.
October 6-10, 2008 Wisdom University, Oakland, CA I will be taking my second graduate course towards my Masters in Art and Healing. The course is titled: Healing and Culture: How Cultural and Spiritual Beliefs Affect Health and Longevity.
December 2008 "Woven Voices: Messages from the Heart" I will conclude this year long project with an on-line international exhibit of all the prayer flags hanging across the globe.
