Upon completion of a large commission that involved personal symbolism and invented language for the client, I was compelled to create my own language and story. At the time I was designing and creating the piece, I was dreaming about moving to the seacoast. Some of the symbols, language and imagery were a part of a conscious effort, while others blossomed out of my subconscious mind. Thus the title "What was I Thinking?" sprang from the moment when I stepped back from the completed piece.
