"Seed, Root, Branch I" uses a woven and embroidered block design as a symbol of steps, movement towards something new. The small colored buttons sewn to the bottom border, are left over from the thousands of donated buttons for "Each One: Button Project 9/11 Memorial." These buttons feel like fragments of my lingering grief.
