The Chinese Book of Changes, known as the I Ching, is the inspiration for this work. Each day before I sat down to weave, I would count out yarrow stalks to find my hexagram for the day. I would read, write and meditate about the chosen hexagram prior to weaving. The hexagrams, which are the white horizontal lines, were then woven into the piece. The other images in this piece are map-like and help complete the story about finding one's way, finding direction, finding meaning, and of course, getting lost.
