Van Buren, ME

In March of 2002, I traveled far up into northern Maine to Presque Isle, Van Buren and Caribou. Pictured here is an 8th grade student from Van Buren working on a weaving using a map of Maine and some scenic Maine postcards. This residency was an integrated weaving and language arts experience. Students created weavings using non-traditional materials and wrote about their work using guided prompts.
