Merrimack, NH

In the fall of 2001, I worked with students from classes in creative writing, woodworking, home skills, art and a self-selected group to design and create four collaborative weavings that are installed in the high school. Each class not only designed their weaving, but also the shape of the loom on which to weave it. The woodworking class then built these looms according to the class's specifications.

Each loom and weaving design reflected a story about the Merrimack community: Where do we come from? Where do we live? Where do we work? Where do we play?
