The third and fifth graders at this school created weavings that have an environmental theme. Prior to the residency, the school district's environmental studies teacher educated the students on the tapestries' subjects: different habitats and water cycles. Pictured on the right is a New Hampshire winter scene and below is a detail from an autumnal wetland scene. These weavings were made on looms that became frames for the completed pieces. Their approximate size is 40" x 32".
